ABOUT SEAN

Sean Crooks is the son of two professional horse trainers. He grew up based outside of Seattle Washington USA. It was there where he began his career as a professional show jumper having worked under the tutelage of not only his parents but also Eddie Macken. 

 

Sean soon had the opportunity to move to the Wellington Florida to not only work with individual Olympic medalist Norman Dello Joio but to also study at University. It was there he developed into a seasoned Grand Prix rider having competed most of the major events in North America.

He made the decision in 2016 to retire from competitive sport after constant injuries and multiple surgeries. He now focuses on the business aspects of show jumping. 

He now manages a successful training business, working closely with his students to develop their careers. Sean has trained students successfully up to the 5* level. His students have placed in some of the largest CSI 5* Grand Prix’s in the world. His students in the past and present have gone onto participating at World Championships including the WEG in Tryon 2018 and top 12 placings at the European Championships Riesenbeck 2021 and a Top 20 placing individually at the World Equestrian Games in Herning 2022.
