Zone 9/1 Win Gold at Young Riders!

Going into Young Riders, it was unsure if zone 9 would be able to combine with another team to have a chance at competing for a team medal. This was answered the day before team competition when Zone 9 members, Sara Nordstrom and Jennifer Gates, Chef d'equipe Sean Crooks, were combined with Zone 1 members, McKayla Langmeier, Victoria Arute, and Hannah Patten, with Coaches Amy Momrow and John Brennan.

Congratulations to Crooks Show Jumping pupil Sara Nordstrom for being the anchor on the team and being the only combination to jump double clear for our team.

This is a historic medal for Zone 9. It is the first medal won in Show Jumping for a zone 9 rider at young riders. Never having been done before!

We also want to congradulate Sara on her 8th individual placing and Jennifer on her 4th individual placing.
